Different Glass Packages

There are 4 different types of glass commonly used in windows:

  1. Low-E (Low-Emissivity) Glass: Low-E glass is engineered to minimize heat transfer and UV radiation while maximizing natural light. Its thin, transparent coating reduces energy costs by reflecting heat back into the room during winter and blocking unwanted solar heat during summer. Ideal for energy-efficient homes, Low-E glass helps maintain consistent indoor temperatures and protects furniture from fading due to sunlight exposure.

  2. Tempered Glass: Tempered glass is specially treated to increase its strength and durability. Through a process of rapid heating and cooling, tempered glass becomes up to five times stronger than standard glass and shatters into small, blunt pieces upon impact, reducing the risk of injury. Widely used in windows and doors, tempered glass provides enhanced safety and security, making it an excellent choice for homes and commercial properties.

  3. Insulated Glass (Double or Triple Pane): Insulated glass, also known as double or triple pane glass, consists of multiple layers of glass separated by gas-filled spaces or spacers. This design improves thermal insulation, reduces condensation, and minimizes outdoor noise transmission, creating a more comfortable and energy-efficient indoor environment. Commonly used in climates with extreme temperatures, insulated glass helps homeowners save on heating and cooling costs while enhancing interior comfort.

  4. Frosted Glass: Frosted glass features a translucent surface that diffuses light and provides privacy without sacrificing natural illumination. Created through sandblasting or acid etching, frosted glass adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to windows, doors, and interior partitions. Perfect for bathrooms, entryways, and office spaces, frosted glass allows ample light to pass through while obscuring visibility, making it an attractive option for both residential and commercial applications.

Each type of glass offers unique benefits and aesthetic appeal, allowing homeowners to customize their windows to suit their specific needs and preferences. Enhance Your Windows with Timeless Grid Styles

Grid styles, also known as window grilles or muntins, are decorative elements that add character and charm to your windows while enhancing their visual appeal. From traditional to contemporary, grid styles come in a variety of designs, allowing you to customize your windows to complement your home's architectural style and personal taste.

  1. Colonial Grids: Inspired by the classic design of colonial-era windows, colonial grids feature evenly spaced horizontal and vertical bars that create a symmetrical pattern of small square or rectangular panes. These grids evoke a sense of timeless elegance and lend a traditional aesthetic to your home's façade.

  2. Prairie Grids: Prairie grids, popularized by the Prairie School architectural movement, showcase horizontal lines that intersect vertical bars to form large, geometric patterns reminiscent of the American prairie landscape. These grids offer a modern twist on traditional window designs, adding a contemporary flair to your home's exterior.

  3. Diamond Grids: Diamond grids feature diagonal bars that intersect to create diamond-shaped panes within the window frame. This grid style adds a touch of whimsy and sophistication to your windows, infusing them with a sense of playful elegance that stands out against more traditional grid patterns.

  4. Custom Grids: For homeowners seeking a unique and personalized touch, custom grids offer endless possibilities for creativity and customization. Whether you prefer asymmetrical designs, intricate patterns, or a combination of grid styles, custom grids allow you to express your individual style and make a statement with your windows.

Grid styles not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of your windows but also add depth and dimension to your home's exterior, creating visual interest and curb appeal. Whether you're renovating a historic property, building a new home, or simply looking to upgrade your windows, grid styles offer a versatile and stylish solution to elevate your home's architecture and design.
